PSPCL officers not in a mood to renounce;demanded FIR against Bathinda district administration officials

Punjab state power corporation limited engineers and employees has taken up the matter of high handiness of Bathinda district administration and pushing a lady officer of the rank of superintending engineer, in the presence of deputy commissioner Bathinda , with its CMD and demanded an FIR against the district administration officials for entering the PSPCL premises without permission and for manhandling the families, ladies and for attempts to snatch official records from PSPCL officers. PSEB Engineers association has also demanded that management should officially lodge a protest with the Punjab Government against the conduct of DC Bathinda and other district administration officials.
Er Ajaypal Singh Atwal, general secretary of PSEB Engineers association admitted that “PSEB Engineers association has also formally wrote a letter to the CMD of Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL) and forwarded the complaint to Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Punjab, Chief Secretary Punjab, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Punjab, ACS/Power along with other officials of civil and police department and demanded an FIR against the district administration officials for entering the PSPCL premises without permission and for manhandling the families, ladies and for attempts to snatch official records from PSPCL officers.”
In a letter written by PSEB Engineers association, addressed to CMD, PSPCL, gave the details of what was happened at field hostel of GNDTP Colony “With regret it is pointed out that on June 10,2020 District Administration officials and Police entered the residential houses of engineers and employees posted in GNDTP Bathinda. A team of district administration and police without prior intimation, started checking the houses duly allotted to the power engineers and employees. In the meantime the residents started gathering in the colony and requested the team to stop checking. Tehsildaar present with the checking team requested the residents to have a meeting with the DC who was present in the field hostel of the GNDTP colony. The officers and their wives went to the field hostel to meet the DC. After a lot of perusal five residents including ladies were allowed to meet DC. But there ADC (G) Bathinda snatched official records from the hands of a lady engineer, SE HQ GNDTP Bathinda and pushed the lady officer, in this scuffle she got injured. Senior engineers of PSPCL and families of officers were manhandled by some senior District Officials.”
It further state that “this is extremely saddening that instead of resolving the grievances amicably being raised by the residents, DC Bathinda used brute force against the ladies and created an unnecessary conflict. This is extremely humiliating that a lady officer was manhandled and senior officers of the power corporation were mistreated by the district administration Bathinda.”
As per sources,”the situation turned worse when ADC (General) Bathinda snatched official records from the hands of a lady engineer, SE HQ GNDTP Bathinda and pushed the lady officer, in this scuffle she got injured and this infuriated the officers and their family representatives present over their and they boycotted the meeting started raising slogans against the district administration Bathinda, for their high handiness.
