PSPCL on challaning spree against power theft

As per the instructions of PSPCL CMD A.Venu Prasad & Director Distribution Er. DIPS Grewal, PSPCL has launched a immense campaign against the menace of theft of electricity in Punjab and achieving great success with excellent results.
Working on the directions continuous checking of connections is being carried out by the circle Faridkot staff. Er.Jasvir Singh Bhullar Deputy Chief Engineer Distribution circle Faridkot of PSPCL disclosed that 18 no special teams of Faridkot circle carried checking in the different locations of district Faridkot and Moga on August 20,2020.
PSPCL on challaning spree against power theft. Different teams have checked 462 number connections of various categories of consumers , 46 cases of theft and 40 cases of unauthorized load were detected .A total of rupees 17.21 lakh fine was imposed to these defaulter consumers. FIR’s are also being lodged against the consumers found indulging in theft of electricity.
A spokesperson of PSPCL has appealed to all its esteemed consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of electricity for campaign against theft of electricity in the state. Spokesman also added that anyone can also provide information about theft of electricity on Whatsapp no 96461-75770. Punjab State Power Corporation limited assured its consumers that their identity will not be disclosed.
