PSPCL staff wrought up against its management

A joint meeting of the Office Bearers of PSEB Engineers’ Association, Council of Junior Engineers and PSEB Employees Joint Forum was held today 07/06/2021 at Patiala. During the meeting it was deliberated that the 6th Punjab Pay Commission has already submitted its report and it is expected that the Punjab Government will finalise the report of 6th Pay Commission soon.
Er. Jasvir Dhiman, President PSEBEA, Er. Davinder Singh General Secy. Council of Junior Engineers and Kuldeep Singh Khanna, President PSEB Employees Joint Forum pointed out that as per Transfer Scheme (A Legal document by which PSEB was bifurcated in PSPCL and PSTCL) the existing edge of employees vis-a-vis Punjab Govt. has to be maintained. So WFC should be formulated at earliest to finalise the pay scales of PSPCL/PSTCL employees.
PSEBEA, Council of Junior Engineers & Joint Forum have already written letters demanding PSPCL management to constitute Wage Formulation Committee (WFC), consisting of representatives of employees including PSEB Engineers’ Association immediately, to finalise new pay scales of PSPCL/PSTCL employees in view of likely announcement of the decision of Punjab Govt. regarding 6th pay commission. The leaders said management is deliberately delaying the constitution of the Wage Formulation Committee.
They also criticised management for deliberately keeping pending various issues related to employees and shortage of manpower. Management is recklessly abolishing the posts in PSPCL in the name of restructuring. Management has completely failed to procure the requisite material required during the upcoming paddy season. They warned that due to the situation being created by the PSPCL management and its unpreparedness for the summer season, the power sector of the state will suffer. The union representatives demanded immediate constitution of the Wage Formulation Committee for finalising the pay scales of PSPCL/PSTCL and to resolve the pending issues of employees.
