Public Accounts Committee inspects Sanjh Kendar

To get the first hand information about the working and further scope of improvement in the services being provided at Sanjh Kendars by Punjab Police, the members of Public Accounts Committee of Punjab Assembly led by Kanwar Sandhu MLA today visited the Sanjh Kendar at Fatehgarh Sahib.

The Committee members consisting Kuljit Nagra, Satkar Kaur, Amarjit Singh Sandoa, Nirmal Singh all MLAs and Surinder Pal Deputy Secretary Punjab Assembly had a lengthy interaction session with the police employees working at the Sanjh Kendar, people present there for their routine work, members of Sanjh Kendar Committee and representatives of NGOs. They sought their suggestions to further improve its working so that people may get better services without any difficulty.

Kanwar Sandhu MLA told that they have come here to study its working and to know whether more police related services can be provided and to further streamline the working of these Sanjh Kendars. He said they will submit the report to the Government along with suggestions.

Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu SP(Headquarter) briefed the committee that at present 27 police related services like registration of foreigners, increase in their stay, services related to passport, verifications, Arms , services, NOCs of vehicles, Petrol Pumps, Cinema Halls, loud speaker permission, FIRs and police clearance services are being provided. Dr. Ravjot Grewal IPS ASP Fatehgarh Sahib and DSP Sandeep Kaur also present on the occasion.
