Punjab BJP spokesman Athwal receives a death threat through a WhatsApp call

Former president of Ropar district Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP ) president and spokesperson of Punjab BJP Jatinder Singh Athwal has received a death threat.
Giving information in this regard, Jatinder Singh Athwal said that he has received death threats from foreign mobile phone numbers many times before, but now on February 5 at 8.35 pm, he received a WhatsApp call on his second mobile phone number. The caller demanded money from him and threatened to kill him if he didn’t pay the money.
He said that a complaint had been lodged with the police earlier in this regard and now it has been lodged again.
Anandpur Sahib Station House Officer(SHO) Simranjit Singh said that a case under section 387 and 506 of IPC had been registered by the police and further action is being taken in this regard.
