Punjab CM gets special chief secretary after six months

Punjab government has appointed state’s serving senior most IAS officer Vijoy Kumar Singh as the new special chief secretary to CM.
Vijaoy Kumar Singh, IAS of 1990 batch, who is recently repatriated by central govt to Punjab has been given this coveted post.
After the Bhagwant Mann taken the reins of Punjab as CM in Mar 2022, A Venu Prasad was appointed as the additional principal secretary to the CM. He retired in July 2023 as special principal secretary to CM.
After the retirement of A Venu Prasad no senior officer was appointed with the CM. At present there are two special principal secretaries Ravi Bhagat and Kumar Amit , one Additional Principal Secretary Himanshu Jain. All are IAS officers.
The present chief secretary Anurag Verma is of 1993 batch.
