Punjab Congress MLA gets relief from Apex Court

Punjab congress Bhoolath MLA Sukhpal Khaira today gets major relief from the supreme court.
The Supreme Court on Thursday (January 18) dismissed the petition filed by the State of Punjab challenging a January 4 order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, against the bail granted to Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira in connection with a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the Arms Act.
“We are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the high court,” said a bench of justices Bela M Trivedi and KV Viswanathan, refusing to stay the bail order.
