Punjab education minister orders extension of holidays in schools, opening of schools

Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains has issued a half baked orders on holidays, opening of schools in Punjab.
As per minister’s message posted on his social media account “ all schools, government, private, aided schools upto class 5th will remain closed till January 21,2024. The classes from 6th to 12th will be held from tomorrow i.e January 15,2024. The timings will be for 6th to 12th Classes from 10 AM to 3 PM.
The Cabinet Minister said that the timings of Double shift schools will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. None of the double shift school will remain open after 4:00 pm.
The message about school teachers of primary, pre-primary, anaganwari are not shared , whether they have to attend the school or to hold online classes.
