Punjab Food Supplies department beat Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club by 1 run in PSCC Employees Cricket League 2024

A perfect example of Government employees proving their mettle on the cricket field is being witnessed now a days in the form of a T20 tournament being organized by the Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club (PSCC) with the active assistance of the Pritika Group of Industries and Mohali Auto Industries.
In what can be described as a nail biting finish, the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Punjab today defeated the Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club by just 1 run in a T20 Pool A match played at the Bajwa Cricket Academy near Airport.
Played as part of the PSCC Employees Cricket League 2024 Season 1, the match saw Food Supply Department batting first and scoring 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Vivek was the top scorer with 84 runs off just 54 balls hammering 10 fours and 2 towering sixes. Rana Dhurali and Bhupinder were the pick of the bowlers with 3 scalps each.
Chasing the total, PSCC team fell short of just one run and scored 138 runs. Akashdeep top scored with 34 off 24 balls including 2 sixes and a four. Kamal – Amrinder scored 24 runs off 18 balls smashing 5 fours. Parveen was top bowler with 2 victims.
