Punjab Govt Initiative,all Registries to be done Online

Using the cloud methodology, National Generic Documents Registration System (NGDRS) has been started in the district wherein the registry of land in sub divisions of Bathinda, Rampura Phul, Talwandi Sabo and Maur Mandi tehsils is being conducted online. Launching the facility at Bathinda Deputy Commissioner Diprava Lakra stated that this initiative of government will bring bets of the services to people in most transparent manner.

He added that using the online mode, people can upload particulars about the land they want to buy or sell online.  The NGDRS program will calculate stamp duty, registration fees and collector rates on its own. He added that this will also bring transparency in the entire procedure. Today online registries were done in presence of buyers and sellers today and copy of the same was provided to sellers.

He added that on the website www.igrpunjab.gov.in the common man or deed writer or advocate can login and fill the application through online system. While filing details one should fill in details of Aadhar cards and mutation of number of land that is to be sold or bought. Thereafter, online appointment will be generated, which will help bring down long waiting hours in tehsil offices.

He said that generation of online appointments will wipe off public harassment.  Also since the land dealings are linked with Aadhar card numbers, it also minimizes possibility of corruption.  Since the collector rates are online and stamp duty is calculated on its own, there is no possibility of extra rates charging. Also the system is based on biometric finger mapping  that ensures that none of the land deals is bogus.

ADC (D) Sakshi Sawhney, SDM Bathinda Balwinder Singh,  tehsildar Bathinda Mr Sukhbir Singh Brar and officers of the revenue department were also present.
