Today online registries were done in presence of buyers and sellers today and copy of the same was provided to sellers.
He added that on the website www.igrpunjab.gov.in the common man or deed writer or advocate can login and fill the application through online system. While filing details one should fill in details of Aadhar cards and mutation of number of land that is to be sold or bought. Thereafter, online appointment will be generated, which will help bring down long waiting hours in tehsil offices.
He said that generation of online appointments will wipe off public harassment. Also since the land dealings are linked with Aadhar card numbers, it also minimizes possibility of corruption. Since the collector rates are online and stamp duty is calculated on its own, there is no possibility of extra rates charging.
