Punjab Govt to revamp powercom sector; inviting application for Director Finance Post
Punjab government seems to have made up his mind to revamp the Power sector of the state. Now, the state government is going to invite application for director Finance after ih had invited for CMD and other directors.
As per available information the last date to send the application for the post of director Finance is October 15,2024. The person who is CA or Cost Accountant (ICWA) with 50 years of age can apply for the post of Director Finance, Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL).
The person should have worked for atleast 25 years and worked in a senior position in Finance/ Accounts with a rank equivalent to CE/ General manager Accounts for atleast one year or 5 years of experience as CAO in a company having an annual turnover of not less that Rs 500 crore and worked at a level of Director of the Company or one level below Board level position at least One year in case of candidate from private sector,

The “Application for the post of Director Finance should reach in the office of Superintendent (Energy Branch) , Department of Power, Govt Of Punjab, Room No, 315, 3rd Floor, Punjab Civil Sectt-2, Sector 9 Chandigarh latest by October 15,2024.”
Last week the state government has demanded the application from eligible candidates for the post of chairman and managing director (CMD), director distribution, director commercial, director human resources of Punjab state power corporation limited (PSPCL). The applications for the post of director Generation were already called.
PSPCL has one CMD and six directors-namely distribution, generation, commercial, finance, HR and administration. Out of these six, only one director (administration) is a political post and normally a MLA, ex MLA, leader, worker of the ruling party is appointed on this post.
The state government had recently extended the term of incumbent Surinder Beri director Finance for one year in August 2024.
