Punjab health minister’s updation claims fallen flat, state’s renowned hospital in his hometown sharing outdated information

Punjab’s premier health institution Govt Rajindra Hospital and Govt Medical College, Patiala in health minister hometown is spreading misinformation for the last more than one year and even failed to update itself in new academic session too.
As per official website of Govt Medical college (https://gmcpatiala.edu.in/) the college-Director-Principal is Dr Rajan Singla. Whereas Dr Raminder Pal Singh Sibia is the present working Director-Principal of the Govt Medical College, Patiala.
Similarly, as per official website of Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala (https://rajindrahospitalpatiala.com/) and Govt Medical college (https://gmcpatiala.edu.in/) the medical superintendent of Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala is Dr Harnam Singh Reikhi. Whereas he had already left this position in June 2024 and after that Dr Girish Sahni was appointed the medical superintendent of Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. Even Dr Sahni had resigned from the post and now Dr Vishal Chopra is presently holding the post of medical superintendent of Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
These fiascos go unchecked by the college, hospital authorities.
When contacted the Director-Principal of Govt Medical College Dr Raminder Pal Singh Sibia he said “presently I am on vacations. But I’ll do the needful and update the information at in coming days.”
Gurjit Singh, a local resident said “Though the health minister, state government is claiming the updation of health services, infrastructure, availability of medicines etc but we can imagine the ongoing so called ‘updation’ on other side of the Rajindra hospital also. Just yesterday, the hospital experienced a blackout due to power outage. Now, the website hasn’t been updated during this admission session. What can we really judge from this so-called updation?”
