Punjab IAS officer resigns to contest poll

Senior akali dal leader’s daughter-in-law Parampal Kaur Sidhu, IAS has resigned from the post to contest upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
As per available information, daughter-in-law of ex- Akali Minister Sikander Maluka, has resigned from service and is likely to contest the Lok Sabha election from Bathinda constituency on BJP ticket.
When contacted her number remained switched off.
A 2011-batch IAS officer, Sidhu is due to retire in October and has already been on leave. She is currently posted as managing director of the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation, had sent her resignation to Chief Secretary Anurag Verma. If Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann clears the resignation, it will be sent to the central Department of Personnel and Training.
Parampal Kaur Sidhu was posted as deputy director in panchayat department when she was nominated to IAS and become a Punjab-cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in 2015 and allotted 2011 batch.
