Punjab police left for Dibrugarh to bring Amritpal Singh for constitutional ceremony

As per available information, Punjab police team under the command of a senior officer has left for Dibrugarh, Assam to bring Khadoor Sahib Member Parliament Amritpal Singh for an oath taking ceremony to be held on July 5, 2024 at parliament house, New Delhi.

Amritpal Singh has been allowed to take oath as a Member of Parliament. Amritpal is booked under National Security Act (NSA) and is presently locked up in Dibrugarh Jail.

After taking the oath, he will be sent back to jail immediately. Meanwhile, Amritpal will not be allowed to meet anyone.

Earlier the court has granted parole to Amritpal Singh for up to four days starting 5 July 2024, under certain conditions.
