Punjab Public Relations directorate pledges to maintain unity and integrity of the Country

On National Unity Day, the officials of Directorate of Information and Public Relations Punjab solemnly pledged to dedicate themselves towards maintaining the unity, integrity and security of the country. The oath was administered by Dr. Senu Duggal, Additional Director, Information and Public Relations Department Punjab.
The officials assembled in the office premises at 11 am and undertook the oath to work hard to spread the message of unity among the countrymen which has been made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. They wholeheartedly vowed to contribute towards ensuring the internal security of the country.
About National Unity Day
National Unity day (also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people all through India. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who really unified the country. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day was introduced by the Government of India in 2014 with the aim of celebrating this event every year on 31st October. Sardar Patel is also highly applauded for his efforts in making the princely kingdoms concede with the dominion of India, post independence.
