Punjabi University CSE department organized Orientation program for fresher’s

Punjabi University‘s Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an Orientation Program for its newly admitted B. Tech. – I year students.
At the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Arvind motivated the students to work toward their all round development in addition to the academic development. He stressed that study of Computer Science and Engineering should be mind centric and not device centric.
Registrar Dr. Varinder Kaushik advised the students to explore all the facilities available in the University campus to their full advantage. The head of the department Dr. Raman Maini gave a warm welcome to the students and highlighted the profile of the department.
Dr. Regina Maini, Senior Medical Officer informed the students about the medical facilities available on the campus.
Professors of the department Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur and Dr. Amardeep Singh also interacted with the students. The students were introduced to various departmental facilities, curriculum, research activities, extracurricular clubs, placement activities etc. by faculty Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Dr. Gurjit Singh Bhathal, Dr. Gaurav Gupta and Dr. Sikander Singh.
The students found the orientation very informative and useful.
