Punjabi University School of Management Studies leads in placements

The School of Management Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala has successfully completed final phase of placements and internships. This time the Department made lot of efforts which brought laurels in terms of number of placements in leading companies. More than 21 companies visited the campus for various job offers. In the department 125 students applied for various job opportunities and 109 students got placement offers. The major job and internship opportunities have come from ICICI Bank, IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceutical Ltd,IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Miles Education, KavinCare, Budget Signs, S&P Global Market Intelligence Banglore, Continnuum Gurgaon, IFS Logistics, Outlook Group, Jaro Education, Internshala, J Marathon Advisory, Ecom Express, PRO-ACE, Naukri.com, Vardhman Group, Oswal Group, Curefit Healthcare, Prism Group, Sobha Realty, iB Hubs, Times of India and Sikshit Bharat. The highest package offer has reached up to 9 lac per annum.
The summer internship with stipend has remained the special attraction for the MBA students. More than 200 students of first year have got internship offers from various companies in India. Quite a good number of students have got opportunity of internship in Egypt and Malaysia also. Dr. Rajwinder Singh, Coordinator Placements said that many companies are still waiting for the placement drive which got delayed due to the start of final examination. Prof. Gurcharan Singh, Head of the department congratulated the selected students. He said that this has been made possible due to the team work and we are working ahead for further remarkable test of our students.

Vice-chancellor, Prof. B.S. Ghuman, especially congratulated and appreciated the work done by the department for getting good placements and pre-placement offers. He said that it is a matter of great pride for all of us. The department shall be celebrating Golden Jubilee in the month of October, where the alumni across the globe shall be invited.
