Punjab’s former minister cremated with full state honours

The mortal remains of former Punjab minister and senior Congress leader Dr.Romesh Dutt Sharma,who had died on Saturday were consigned to flames at his native village Nurpur Bedi on Sunday with full state honours.
His sons Narinder Sharma and Daksh Sharma lit the funeral pyre.
A large number of people including Punjab assembly speaker Rana KP Singh,Rupnagar MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa,former minister and Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Rupnagar Dr Daljit Singh Cheema,,Congress candidate Barinder Singh Dhillon,Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dinesh Chadha,BJP candidate Iqbal Singh Lalpura and Sanyukat Samaj Morcha candidate Davinder Singh Bajwa,District Congress Committee president Ashwani Sharma and Congress leader Harminderpal Singh Minhas. attended the funeral.
