Punjab’s largest private power plant TSPL (Vedanta Power Limited) shines with triple recognition for excellence in CSR

TSPL (Talwandi Sabo Power Limited), Punjab’s largest thermal power producer, has received three prestigious awards for its exemplary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These awards underscore TSPL’s dedication to creating meaningful social impact and fostering sustainable development in the communities it serves.

The awards were conferred by the IHW Council, India CSR network, and UBS Forums, recognizing TSPL’s outstanding contributions in the following categories:

  1. CSR Health Impact Award 2024 by IHW Council for Project SEHAT: Project SEHAT (Safe and Effective Health Action by TSPL) is dedicated to bolstering the healthcare ecosystem and ensures access to quality healthcare services for the community, in alignment with SDG 3. This initiative by TSPL focuses on strengthening healthcare facilities by providing dental healthcare at Govt PHC, doorstep healthcare services to the people through specialised health camps, eye screening camps, and lab technician support at the district civil hospital of Mansa. The SEHAT initiative by TSPL has successfully benefitted and impacted the lives of more than 20,000 people from 12 villages so far.
  2. India CSR Award 2024 by India CSR Network for TSPL Gram Nirman Project: This award acknowledges TSPL’s efforts in providing urban amenities to the rural areas by constructing strategic community assets including parks, rest sheds, community centres, Traffic mirrors, concrete benches,and solar streetlights. Through these initiatives, TSPL has succeeded in reaching and benefiting over 35,000 people in the Mansa-Bathinda area.
  1. Best CSR Project of the Year Award by UBS Forums for Navi Disha Project: By fostering sustainable agriculture, benefitting over 2500 farmers from 26 villages through the promotion of natural farming, providing critical Agri input support, paddy straw management, Agri enterprise development and many more, TSPL CSR team has helped the Annadatas to grow with a strategic and sustainable manner.
