“An election campaign is an organized effort which seeks to influence the decision making progress within a specific group. It is crucial to launch for any candidate if it has to promote its ideology and solutions to the issues. You will catch the attention of potential voters if your message is attractive and unique”.
Keeping the importance of uniqueness in election campaign in mind Rajindra Gymkahana & Mahendra Club Patiala candidates, Mohit Dhoddy and Dr Neeraj Goyal launched their campaign in a different way. They are spreading their election campaign messages in famous cartoon characters – Chotta Bheem, Chacha Chaudhary, Sabu , Tug of war.
A club member on the condition of anonymity on this campaign said, in one of the message, a cartoon is made of a lady advocate says “Being Advocate, I always believe in Safety and Security of Women & Kids in Cub. So we need to choose wisely and give the reins of RGMC in safe hands”, are they admitting, that club is not safe for women and children?
Mohit Dhoddy , who remained executive member of the club is seeking votes for the post of joint secretary and Dr Neeraj Goyal for the post of executive members.
Mohit Dhoddy and Mukesh Malhotra are in fray for the post of joint secretary and six candidates namely Rajeev Bansal, Dr Neeraj Goyal, Harshpal Singh, Manish Jalota, Advocate Sherbir Singh Thind , Dr Sanjay Bansal and Pardeep Singla in fray for three posts of executive members.
Rajindra Gymkhana club Patiala has announced elections for its executive as the mandatory two year term of three executive members out of seven executive members along with joint secretary is going to expire in December 2019. For this club management has announced the elections on December, 29, 2019. At present club has around 2800 members and is governed by an executive of twelve members comprising president, vice president, Hony. Secretary, treasure, joint secretary and seven executive members.
Even political parties always try to attract their voters, by using different, innovative methods. In the 2002 assembly elections, congress party enticed Punjab voters by using different cartoons, caricatures in their campaign. Which was a big hit then.
