Rajoana disassociated himself from protesting morcha

Balwant Singh Rajoana, accused of the killing of former chief minister of Punjab Beant Singh and undergoing a sentence at Central Jail, Patiala has said that “he has nothing to do with the Quami Insaaf Morcha’s ongoing protest at Mohali. He added that rather those putting up the front should clarify which party they belong to.”
He also reiterated his stand that “he is an Akali and will remain an Akali.” He said that some people are making false statements against him. He said that Amar Singh Chahal is a man of agencies.”
Rajoana , who was brought under heavy security from the Patiala Central Jail to the Government Dental College, Patiala where he is undergoing dental treatment.
Quami Insaaf Morcha is demanding the release of jailed sikh prisoners (Bandi Sikh) from jails after the completion of their sentence.
As per insiders the focus of the ‘Qaumi Insaf Morcha’ is however on nine prisoners who have already completed from 15 to 31 years in jail as normally a prisoner spends 14 years in jail for a life sentence. However, it is all on the government to release such prisoners after spending a specific period of time.
