Under the leadership of Chief Administrator Manisha Rana, the Patiala Development Authority (PDA) has set a new benchmark by generating Rs.386 crore through property auctions held from March 13 to March 22. This surpasses the previous record of Rs.100 crore from the September 2024 auctions. Previously, PDA had auctioned properties worth Rs.160 crore in the entire year of 2024.
Chief Administrator Manisha Rana stated that this remarkable achievement has allowed the PDA to meet its annual revenue target in a single auction, marking a significant milestone.
To resolve long-standing challenges related to various sites, PDA conducted multiple weekly meetings, addressing issues such as feasibility concerns, delays in development, and coordination gaps among agencies. These proactive measures enabled the timely resolution of obstacles, allowing residential and commercial plots to be offered at competitive prices—benefiting both the public and government revenue.
The most sought-after properties in this auction were residential plots at the Lehal Mandal site and commercial plots in front of the Infotech Academy, reflecting strong public confidence in PDA’s development initiatives.

Chief Administrator Manisha Rana emphasized that reliable access to essential services—water, electricity, sanitation, and roads—is crucial in shaping public perception of housing opportunities. Well-planned areas with robust transportation links and proximity to key amenities such as schools, healthcare, and employment centers further enhance buyer confidence, values that PDA remains committed to upholding.
She credited the success of these auctions to the dedicated efforts of the entire PDA team, stating that the achievement reinforces the authority’s commitment to providing affordable housing and high-quality urban infrastructure. Strict enforcement of building codes, zoning laws, and regulations ensures secure public investments, maintains property values, and prevents unplanned development.
“The PDA’s success is built on transparency, efficiency, and a people-centric approach to urban development. This accomplishment motivates us to continue working diligently for the betterment of Patiala’s residents,” added Manisha Rana.
