Red Cross vice-chairman visited Rayat Bahra Patiala

PATIALA: Avinash Rai Khanna, Vice Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, and Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Party, has called upon the authorities of the Rayat-Bahra, Patiala Campus to adopt certain nearby villages where the staff and students could educate villagers about fundamental law, health and drug abuse.

Klhanna was interacting with the faculty and students of the Rayat-Bahra, Patiala Campus here today. Dr Piush Verma, Campus Director, welcomed Khanna on his arrival they exchanged views on social problems.

Khanna also interacted with Director/Principals and Heads of Departments of all Colleges and advised them to make the students placement oriented. He underlined the importance of paying attention to water conservation, electricity, environment and imparting knowledge of fundamental law to the illiterate.

He also visited Rayat-Bahra, International School where he interacted with students of pre-nursery to 6th standard. He appreciated the efforts made by Principal Simrit Khattra and Vice-Principal Rajni Sharma in imparting quality education to the children.

Khanna witnessed the Quiz Competition between various classes organized by the Rayat-Bahra International School and appreciated the efforts of the class teachers.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra , Chairman , Rayat-Bahra Group, lauded the efforts of the Rayat-Bahra , Patiala Campus asuthoritiies who were taking up social issues besides academics.

Dr Piush Verma, Campus Director, expressed gratitude to Avinash Rai Khanna for his visit.
