Rejig in AAP: party appoints two top party leaders as Punjab incharge, co-incharge

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has reshuffled the party leadership, appointing former Delhi Chief Minister’s ex-deputy Manish Sisodia as Punjab incharge, Satyendar Jain his co-incharge.Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadda has been relieved from the state co-incharge post.
Former Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who recently lost the Delhi Assembly election from Greater Kailash was appointed the party’s convener for Delhi, replacing Gopal Rai.
Senior leaders Gopal Rai and Durgesh Pathak have been made the Gujarat in-charge and co in-charge respectively. Pankaj Gupta will be the AAP in-charge of Goa.
Punjab is currently the only state where AAP holds power, after losing Delhi in February.
Rejig in AAP: party appoints two top party leaders as Punjab incharge, co-incharge. Sandeep Pathak, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, has been made the state in-charge of Chhattisgarh.
They will oversee organisational tasks and ensure the effective implementation of AAP’s promises and key agendas in Punjab.
The party has also appointed Maharaj Malik as the state president of Jammu and Kashmir.
Besides, the AAP has also appointed in-charges in four states.

The new appointments follow the AAP’s defeat to the BJP in the February elections held in Delhi.
A meeting of the party’s Political Affairs Committee was held at the house of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal here, where a series of key decisions were taken.
