Replace the defective meters within 15 days; release the pending domestic connections immediately-Grewal

Er Daljit Inderpal Singh Grewal, Director Distribution, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) visited & inspected the works carried out at 220KV substation Dhandari Kalan & 220KV substation Lalton Kalan where augmentation of old ACSR with new HTLS conductor feeding the 66KV substations is under progress.
This new HTLS conductor can carry higher power as compared to conventional conductor thus providing better & uninterrupted power supply to valuable consumers. Director Distribution conducted a meeting with all DyCEs & Addl SEs and directed all the distribution officers to do the maintenance of all the feeders so that frequent tripping could be minimized.
He also directed to replace the defective meters within 15 days & to release the pending domestic connections immediately. He advised the officers to curb the ill practices being done in the field & directed them to take disciplinary action against the delinquent employees.
He further directed to clear the feasibility cases pertaining to industry and get the pending connections released on priority as state is getting maximum revenue from this sector & this industrial sector is backbone of the state and providing employment to the people of Punjab.
