RIMT University organises Teeyan Da Mela

Mandigobindgarh-Teeyan dedicated to the onset of the monsoon and focuses on daughters and sisters was celeberated with full zeal and enthusiasm by the students of RIMT University at its Mandigobindgarh campus. The main features of the celebration were traditional sports completions like pithoo, stappu, kikli pigaan, skipping, kho kho and many more. Music, dance, comedy act and selfie corner added to the enjoyment of the function.

Dr Hukum Chand Bansal, Chancellor of RIMT University formally welcomed the new batch of students for this academic session  and wished that it will be a great beginning for the students to pursue their life goals.

The Vice chancellor, Dr A.S. Chawla while speaking on the occasion expressed that the whole concept of education is changing and we have to prepare our students for meeting the emerging challenges. Elaborating further Dr Chawla stated that our focus besides overall quality education would also be on specific student centred approach.

On this occasion the contest of “Miss Teej ‘” was held, where Harpreet kaur of Forensic science bagged the title of Miss Teej and Manveer kaur of MSC chemistry, won the title of Miss talented.
