Rotary Club Rupnagar organises traffic awareness and road safety project

Under Traffic Awareness – Rotary Awareness (TARA) Project, Rotary Club Rupnagar organized the fourth traffic awareness and Road Safety Project today at Tempo union near Nirankari Bhawan, Rupnagar.

In today’s project  plastic reflectors of big size were pasted on 60 trucks. Apart from reflectors, 55 stickers having oath that ‘I will not drive my vehicle under the influence of liquor‘ also pasted inside the vehicles. Club also installed 50 banners on the poles and other areas of the city, carrying messages related to road safety and traffic rules. Director Community Services Engineer J K Bhatia and Club Secretary Advocate Ajay Talwar told that today’s project is successful one and tempo union appreciated the efforts of Rotary club.

Chairman of TARA project former President Dr JK Sharma told that club will organise three more such projects in the January month and will complete the target of fixing 1000 such reflectors apart from oath stickers.

Club members conveyed their heartiest thanks to the tempo union management and assured other such projects with tempo union in coming days. He also told that their club will organise one blood sugar & eye checkup camp for the drivers of tempo union in the coming days.

On this occasion from Rotary Club president Er Parminder Kumar,former presidents Amar Raj Saini, Dr Usha Bhatia, Engineer JK Bhatia, Rotarian Jatinder pal Singh Rehal, Gagan Saini and from Tempo Union President Maghar Singh, Manager Pankaj Kumar, Harinder Singh and Hazura Singh were present.
