Route plan for Traffic in Patiala for SAD Zabar Virodhi rally

Patiala police diverted the traffic coming to Patiala from different districts of Punjab to attend Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Zabar Virodhi rally in Chief Minister Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh home turf, of Sunday, at Mehamdpur village on Patiala sangrur road. Traffic diversions and tight security arrangements have been made for the roads leading to the rally venue.
All the workers coming to attend the rally from Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali, Ropar , from other parts coming from Sirhind road, will be diverted from Sirhind byepass to Urban Estate to Sangrur bye pass to rally venue. They were not allowed to enter the city.
All the workers coming to attend the rally from Bathinda, Sangrur, Barnala and other parts of Malwa via Bhawanigarh will reach to rally venue. They were also not allowed to enter the city.
Similarly traffic coming from Malerkotla,Nabha will be diverted to Bhawanigarh to rally venue and workers coming from Bhadson side will be diverted to Dhablan to venue.
Senior Police officials said that proper security measures had been taken to ensure that commuters did not face inconvenience while travelling through Patiala,that’s why we have issued certain diversions.
