Royal city Patiala residents openly flouting CM’s order

Due to rise of covid cases in Punjab, chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh has imposed night curfew from December 1,2020, in whole Punjab.
As per Punjab government orders, “all the hotels, restaurant, marriage palaces shall be closed by 9:30 pm and from 10: 00 pm night curfew will start and remained till 5:00 in the morning”.
But the residents of royal city seem to not in a mood to obey CM’s order. Today, till the filing of this news, (around 10:40 pm) , a marriage party is still going on at region’s oldest club-Rajindra Gymkhana Club, along with at some other places in the city.
Rajindra Gymkahana Club backside, is just opposite to city’s first person residence and few hundred meters from the residence’s of Patiala district administration officer’s residence.
When contacted the SHO Lahori gate police station, Patiala, he said” I don’t know about this. I’ll got it checked”
Similarly SHO Civil Lines, Patiala said”I’ll got it checked” when informed that a party is still going on near Passey road.
When contacted Sonu, a resident of Passey road said,” this shows the lenient approach of the district administration, towards the implementation of chief minister’s orders and is not expected from the local administration. If Patiala district administration is not serious, what we can expect from other areas.’
