royalpatiala.in has today predicted that “Harjot Bains is going to lose important portfolio of mines and geology from its kitty in today’s cabinet reshuffle”.
the change is a result after Punjab Government faces flak from the residents, industry, opposition due to faulty mining policy and rising prices of sands and other building construction material. Though Bains is looking after the water resources, mines and geology, jail along with school education but he mainly remained occupied in school reforms. He remained unavailable for mines and jails department, as per the requirement.
Also day before yesterday, the state government has curtailed the power of principal secretary water resources, mines and geology Krishan Kumar and appointed Gurkirat Kirpal Singh as secretary mines and geology and DPS Kharbanda as director mines and geology. Krishan Kumar is left with water resources department only.
The same came true as the department of mines and geology has been given to Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and CM has kept the jails department with him.
