Rupanagar’s Maj. Vishavdeep Singh Attri conferred with Jeevan Raksha Padak

Major Vishavdeep Singh Attri of Indian Army got conferred with Jeevan Raksha Padak on the eve of Republic Day 2026 by President of India.
Major Attri currently posted in Nagaland, hails from Rupnagar .The officer is serving in the Judge Advocate General Department of Indian Army. He became the first officer of the department to receive such gallantry award while serving with the Department.
The officer on October 28 ,2024 in a heroic act beyond the call of duty saved the lives of two kids aged 5 years from drowning in Dhansiri river at Nagaland.

The gallant of the soldier with utter disregard to his personal safety is lauded by the the locals of North East and Indian Army. OnJanuary 26 ,2026, the parents of Maj Attri were felicitated by the District Administration, Rupnagar for the gallantry act.
