Rupnagar Bar Association sends memorandum to chief minister against move to accord district status to Anandpur Sahib

District Bar Association, Rupnagar sent a memorandum to Punjab chief minister through district administration, demanding shelving of proposal to accord district status to Anandpur Sahib town of Rupnagar district.
Bar Association members led by President Mandeep Modgil also submitted a memorandum to district and sessions judge Rupnagar in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Association observed ‘No Work’ today and decided to continue the same till Wednesday. It was also decided to hold a meeting of bar associations of Rupnagar, Balachaur and Nawanshahr on Thursday to decide joint next course of action over the issue.
