Rupnagar DC directs health department to improve the operation of Jan Aushadhi Kendra

Rupnagar deputy commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav has directed the civil surgeon Dr Parminder Kumar to improve the operation of Jan Aushadhi Kendras at civil hospital keeping in view the public interest and to appoint three Pharmacists in this centre.
Presiding over a meeting of here on Tuesday, deputy commissioner said that Jan Aushadhi Kendra should be opened from 8 am to 9 pm so that medicines could be provided to the needy patients. She said that the district administration was trying its best to make the medicines available in the Jan Aushadhi Kendra as much as possible.
While reviewing the National Child Health Programme she said that it was noticed that the records related to this programme were not being maintained properly and further improvement was required in the process of health check up of children in schools. She directed the civil surgeon to ensue the check up of the children properly as per the rules as soon as the school reopens next month.
Dr. Preeti Yadav also reviewed vaccination, maternal and childpProtection Programme, TB Control Programme, family planning, National Leprosy Eradication Programme, National Programme for Control of Blindness and various other programmes run by the health department.
She also directed the officials to provide better health facilities to the people.
