Rupnagar DC flags off HelpAge India’s mobile health unit

HelpAge India has launched its Mobile Health Unit in Rupnagar ,which was   flagged off by Rupnagar deputy commissioner Dr Priti Yadav.

Dr. Preeti Yadav said that this mobile health unit would provide its services in the villages of Rupnagar district by van. She also directed the Mobile Health Unit to create awareness among the women about health care and diseases in the villages.

Deputy Commissioner said that if required this mobile health unit would be sent to provide health facilities in the flood affected areas.

Rupnagar DC flags off HelpAge India's mobile health unit

Giving information about HelpAge India, state head Bhubneshwar Sharma said that this organisation has been working for social welfare for a long time. HelpAge India has been leading the movement for the welfare of the elderly in the country for almost 45 years. HelpPage operates about 165 mobile health units in 2400 villages across the country to benefit the rural elderly in their health needs. Since its inception, we have supported millions of seniors through our age care projects. Our multifaceted welfare and development work has had a profound effect on their lives.

Dr. Ritu Rana, Head, Health Unit, HelpAge India, Vineet Chaudhary from Arhant Aadhaar Foundation and other officials were present on the occasion.
