Saini Education Trust  distributes scholarship worth  Rs 9.70 lakh to students

Saini Charitable Education Trust  Rupnagar distributed scholarship  of Rs. 9 .70 lakh to 115 needy students to promote higher education during the annual education event-2022 organized at Saini Bhavan here  on Wednesday.

This year L. R. Mundra memorial of Rs 3 lakh scholarship was given to Sheeta Saini, a student studying Biology from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali (IISER) and Aditiyavir Singh doing Ph.D. from IIT Ropar.

Scholarship cheques were  handed over to the students by Sohan Singh Bains, father of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and his mother Balwinder Kaur Bains.

On this occasion, the district president of AAP Harminder Singh Dhahe, district youth president Kamikar Singh Dadhi and District Secretary Ram Kumar Mukari said that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is paying special attention to promoting education under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

They said that the Saini Bhavan deserved to be congratulated that it is also continuously striving to do public service work with this aim. They motivated the students to set a goal and work hard and said that  they would recommend Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains to help the institute.

Saini Education Trust distributes scholarship worth Rs 9.70 lakh to students .On the occasion the winners of the declamation competition held on October 8 were honored with cash prizes. Certificates were also distributed to those who completed the sewing and embroidery course of the institute.

Rajinder Saini, President of Saini Charitable Education Trust welcomed the guests, students and dignitaries who came at the beginning of the event. Vice Chairman Dr. Ajmer Singh shared the details of the social services of Saini Bhavan and Chairman Balbir Singh explained in detail about the scholarships being given by the trust. On this occasion, Amarjit Singh, Secretary of the Trust, advised the scholarship recipients to improve their personality.

Garmukh Singh Saini, former MC, made another contribution of Rs 50 000  for giving stipends, while he have already provided Rs 3.20  lakh. Similarly, Devinder Singh Jatana donated Rs 25 ,000 and Harjit Singh Giran donated  Rs 10 ,000 , Advocate Ravinder Singh Mundra, Devinder Singh Jatana also addressed the event.

On this occasion, the organization’s management committee members, donors and patrons Sukhwinder Singh Mohali, Avtar Singh Longia, Karamjit Singh Nikkuwal, Jujhar Singh, Captain Hakam Singh, Ram Singh Saini, Dr. Jaswant Kaur, Eng. Amrik Singh, Bahadurjeet Singh, Jagdev Singh, Rajinder Singh Girn,Harjit Singh Giran, Surinder Singh, Pritpal Singh, Hardeep Singh etc. were also present. Cultural program me was presented by the students of the institutes  on the occasion.
