Sangrur police added another feather in its cap; won award for best policing

A pan India annual survey was conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt.of India for assessment of Police Stations to select and rank best Police Stations in the Country.
Police Station Chhajli of district Sangrur has been selected best Police Station of Punjab in the Annual ranking for the year 2021 by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt.of India under this pan India survey. When contacted the senior superintendent of police, Sangrur, Mandeep Singh Sidhu said’ it’s a reward for the good work done by the Punjab police, in public dealings, in rural area.”
In this regard on April 25,2022 V.K.Bhawra, IPS, DGP Punjab in the presence of Shashi Praba IPS ADGP HRD awarded Certificate of Excellence issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt.of India to Mandeep Singh Sidhu, IPS, SSP Sangrur & officers of Sangrur Police.
This pan India survey was conducted and the execution of this survey rested in the hands of the team of qualified surveyors Trans Rural Agri Consulting services Private. Ltd., that was prepared after a careful selection and training process, to observe maintenance and upkeep infrastructure along with behavior and approach ability of police officers.
The names of top selected Police stations are announced annually by the Ministry of Home Affairs to rank the police stations in terms of the services and facilities available at the police station. The performance review of police stations was carried out by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD).
A certificate in this regard is also provided to the top Police Stations.
In 2015 at the DGPs/ IGPs conference at Kutch, Gujarat, PM Narinder Modi directed the ministry of home affairs to formulate a scheme to identify, recognize and rank the best police stations in the country.
