Sanitizers shortage-HP govt allow immediate permissions to manufacturing units

A Spokesperson of Department of State Taxes and Excise here today informed that in order to control the wide spread of Corona virus (COVID-19) the Government of India and government of Himachal Pradesh have issued an advisory with regard to manufacturing of sanitizers. He said that keeping in view the directions issued and the seriousness on the part of the administration of the State Government, the Department of State Taxes and Excise is allowing immediate permissions to all the production units involved in manufacturing of the sanitizers.

He said that the approval of the license required for such manufacturing is being given the top priority and is being issued at the earliest as per the provisions of the law. Further such manufacturing units who have requested or applied to import ENA (spirits) for manufacturing sanitizers such permissions are being granted on the same day as per the provisions of law without any delay. In the last seven days such permissions have been granted to various firms.

M/s Sai Corporation has been granted permission of 7000000 Bls., M/s Venesa Cosmetics 5000000 Bls., Nanz Med Science Pharma granted permission of 220000 Bls., M/s Health Biotech Limited granted permission of 50000 Bls. and M/s Amil Pharmaceuticals India Ltd., M/s ITC Ltd. and M/s Next Care Inc have been granted permission for addition of sanitizer products.

The Department of State Taxes and Excise has ensured in the recent days that there should not be any shortage of production of sanitizer in the State and is making all out efforts to help the administration of the State for the availability of the sanitizers.
