Saudagar staged during Punjab Natya Mahaotsav organised by NZCC

North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala Ministry of Culture, Government of India is organizing the Punjab Natya Mahaotsav from 4th to 14th September at Kalidasa Auditorium Virsa Vihar Kendra, Patiala.
Saudagar Play staged on the 5th day of the festival by Natyam Theatre Group, Bathinda. The Play was written by SNirmal Joura and Directed by Kirti Kirpal.
The story of the play revolves around a village businessman who sells drugs and becomes a rich man by selling drugs. But one day when his son goes to Chandigarh for his further studies. He too becomes a victim of his father’s sold drugs and dies. The play ends with the message bad consequences of bad things .
Jagdeep Singh Sandhu, who played the role of Saudagar Singh, presented his outstanding performance. The rest of the cast included Harjinder in the role of Amali, Ashish Pandit in the son’s role, Nashedi- Sikandar Singh, Harman, revolutionary- Jeevan Singh and Harjit Singh Singh supported on stage.
Gurunur Singh was on lights. Makeup and Assistant Direction was done by Surinder Kaur.
The play was appreciated by renowned Theatre Personalities who were present in the auditorium.
