“SAY YES TO LIFE” Event organised at MRSPTU under Mission LiFE…

The Department of Computational Sciences of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering and Technology, MRSPTU, Bathinda organized one day event “SAY YES TO LIFE” at Committee Room, GZSCCET, Bathinda.

The event was sponsored by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology for Environment Education Program under Mission LiFE, Govt. of India. About 35 students from various departments across the university participated in this event.

There were two categories under the event Power point Presentation and Group Discussion. The purpose of these events was to identify students for their best practices in the form of communication skills and knowledge.

The event started with presentations where students from various departments presented their presentations on topics like Conservation of Water and Renewable Resources of Energy. The judges for this event were Dr. Meenu Chaudhary and Dr. Ramandeep Kaur. Around 7 teams of two each participated. Sahil and Garvita secured 1st position, while Tarunpreet Singh and Saleem bagged 2nd position and Shresha Jain and Kapil were at 3rd position.

The event Group Discussion was held after the Power Point Presentation. The topics were Global Warming, Biodiversity and Impact of Digital India on Environment. The winners of this event were Harleen Kaur 1st position, Smriti Bansal and Ananya Prabha at 2nd position, and Vashisht and Pardeep Kumar at 3rd position. Dr. Shweta Rani was the judge of this event.

Programme Co-ordinator and Dean Research and Development of the University Dr. Ashish Baldi informed that the events are conducted under the aegis of Mission LiFE, recently launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister as individual lead global mission by India to protect and preserve the environment.
