SBI’s first Pan India Kisan lounge inaugurated at ADB Bhawanigarh

State bank of India, the largest bank of India today on December 4, 2019 made an another mile stone in the growth and development of the farming sector by inaugurating its first Kissan lounge at Agriculture Developmental Branch (ADB) Bhiwanigarh branch.
The vision to have a Kissan lounge was envisaged by worthy Chairman Rajnish Kumar during his visit to Patiala network last month.Keeping in line with the vision and mission of the chairman, Subhash Joinwal , general manager, financial inclusion and micro-market, network Patiala said ” SBI’s first Pan India Kisan lounge inaugurated at ADB Bhawanigarh, today “.
speaking on the occasion Subhash Joinwal said that the agriculture constitutes a major part of the economy and highlighted the role of the bank which has always been working towards agriculture scheme so as to give more and convenient facilities to the farmers as Punjab itself is considered as a rich belt for agriculture. The lounge will provide a platform to the farmers where the new products launched by the bank will be discussed and the suggestions would be invited to make the schemes more suitable to the platforms. The function was attended by large number of farmers who also expressed their happiness about the initiative taken by the bank and also praised for the services being rendered along with attractive state bank of India agricultural products like gold loan and other Krishi loan.
Subhash Joinwal also highlighted the concept of digital platform where the farmers can avail easy loan facility with some concession in the rate of interest as in yono krishi, yono gold loan through the bank’s very popular app yono ( you only need one).
The inauguration function was attended by the regional manager PS Sodhi, agriculture assistant general manager Sudarshan Goyal and chief manager of the ADB Bhawanigarh branch Jagmohan.
State bank of India, now propose to launch similar type of farmers lounge at all the agriculture development branches all over the India so as to give impetus to the agriculture.
