Second edition of Scholars’ MUN organized by Scholar Fields Public School with great fervor

Scholar Fields Public School,Patiala organised the 2.0 edition of Scholars’ Model United Nations on October 14 and 15, 2023 in which students acted as delegates and engaged in debates and discussions on certain agendas of the countries like diplomacy, international relations, military alliances and device solutions of the pressing issues.
This program aims at developing research work and speaking skills among the students. The program was started with a lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest captain Ajay Bhardwaj, followed by a welcome song, to welcome all the dignitaries. The western orchestra was the central attraction for the audience which made the program lively.
Up next was a solo Bhangra performance presented by our budding scholar Shivram, endeared as Bhangra star of Punjab. The western dance was presented by the girls in an extremely synchronized manner. The Chief Guest along with the members of the Management handed over the gavels to the EBs and Secretariats to start the day.
Simrandeep Kaur Secretariat General announced the session. Openhanded session on the first day concluded on positive notes. The second day started with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill, IPS, IG Headquarters, Chandigarh was invited as Chief Guest to felicitate the delegates. An electrified Bhangra performance named as Rangla Punjab was showcased by Bhangra stars. The girls of the school captivated everyone by dancing on Sammi song. Apart from this, through the video of BTS, a glimpse of the students’ hard work was demonstrated. Before the end of the program, the guests were warmly welcomed on the stage and presented with gifts.
On this special occasion, the principal of the school Chandandeep Kaur appreciated the Delegation of the students, teaching and non-teaching staff and said that S.M.U.N. aims to develop a deep understanding of current world issues and global politics, it also emphasizes on the all-round development of students. It helps in teaching students how to debate topics, thereby building confidence in students. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
