Seminar on the topic of Public-Police Cohesion was held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala . A. S. Rai, IG Police, Patiala Zone presided over the function. Kaka Ram Verma and Satinder Walia were the Guests of Honour.

Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the guests and speakers at a Seminar on Public-Police Unity held at Modi College and said that collaborative efforts of Police force and public can bring qualitative changes in the social life.  A. S. Rai said that people should be honest and truthful while approaching the police authorities for sharing their difficulties and problems. He advised the students to find positivity in every situation and avoid becoming cynical. He said that fear cannot be used as a tool to reform the system. Kaka Ram Verma urged the students to become sensitive to social concerns.  Walia said that we all should follow the traffic rules which make our travelling safe and pleasant.

Interactive session with the students at the end was exceptionally probing and revealing. Mr. Rai’s response was just perfect. Vice Principal Prof. Nirmal Singh presented the vote of thanks and hoped that from now onwards, the audience would feel more comfortable in the presence of the police personnel.

Two college students Harsukhpawan Kaur and Gurvinder Singh also spoke on the issue in an articulated manner. Mementoes were presented to the Chief Guest and other speakers. Prof. Harmohan Sharma conducted the stage. Large number of students and faculty members were present on the occasion.
