Senior most Punjabi University faculty member suspended

In a first of its kind, Punjabi University, Patala authorities have suspended the senior most faculty member Dr Pushpinder Singh Gill, Professor, School of Management Studies.
The registrar of the university has issued his suspension orders. He is going to retire in few months.
During his suspension time, he has been asked to report director, Punjabi University Gurukashi Campus, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda.
As per sources around three enquiries were going on against him. But the university authorities has suspended him on the allegation of holding a permanent residency (PR) of a foreign country and not informing the same to Punjabi University or govt authorities.
As per available information, Punjab government has ordered the enquiry against him on holding PR of a foreign country. After the enquiry, the committee has recommended action against him.
He is at loggerheads with the current vice chancellor Prof Arvind from the day one after his appointment.
