Senior Punjab IPS officer empanelled for DGP post at centre on deputation

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved empanelment of the following Indian Police Service (IPS) Officers for holding posts at the Centre at the DG/ DG equivalent level.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, IPS 1992 batch is amongst the five officers empanelled by central govt at the director general (DG)/ director general equivalent (DGE) level.
Gaurav Yadav, IPS, DGP is now eligible to be appointed at Central agencies like Research and Analysis Wing, Central Bureau of Investigation, Intelligence Bureau, National Investigation Agency, National Security Guard, Special Protection Group, MHA, PMO and paramilitary forces Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Assam Rifles and Sashastra Seema Bal, etc.

DGP
Two officers senior to Gaurav Yadav, IPS are already on central deputation. At present Parag Jain, IPS of 1989 is on Central deputation and is posted as Special Secy., Cabinet Sectt., Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Also Harpreet Singh Sidhu, IPS of 1992 is on Central deputation for four years and is Addl. DG, ITBP since October 2022.
