SERB Women Excellence Award for GNDU Teacher
Amritsar – Dr Amritpal, Assistant Professor in Department of Food Science and Technology, Guru Nanak Dev University has been selected for the prestigious SERB Women Excellence Award. This award is given to women scientists doing outstanding research work and received recognition from national academics. Dr. Kaur will carry out independent research for three years in the proposed area during the tenure of award in this institution. Director Research, Prof. Narpinder Singh congratulated Dr. Kaur for her selection for this award. She has brought laurels to the institution.
She expressed gratitude towards the university for providing excellent environment that encourages young faculty. The faculty members feels proud for her achievement. Dr. Kaur has published 71 research papers in journals of international repute. She has made significant contributions in the field of Food Science and Technology since joining the university in last 10 years. Earlier, she has been honored with NAAS Associate and Young Scientist Award on the basis of academic and research contributions. She has successfully completed six research projects funded by different funding agencies (UGC, CSIR, DST, DBT and SERB) and presently handling five research projects.
