Rotary Club Rupnagar today organised one unique project for the rickshaw pullers, three wheeler drivers & roadside street vendors by providing them one kit having tee shirt, towel & water bottle. This project was organized for the members of Auto rickshaw driver union old bus stand ropar. 70 such kits were distributed today at the old bus stand area.
Members of the union appreciated this initiative of Rotary Club Rupnagar & conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the president of club Dr Namrita Parmar & other members of the rotary club. President of the union raghubir Singh told that no other social club has thought for us & we are thankful to Rotary Club Rupnagar for this help. He further said all these items given to us will save them in summer season & they will always remember this assistance of Rotary.
This project was sponsored by new member of the club Rotarian Puneet Singhal in the memory of his late father. Puneet is branch head of the local ICICI PRU Insurance Company. Director Community Projects & past president of Rotary club Dr Bhim Sain assured a health & eye checkup camp for the drivers in near future.
