A seven day NSS camp was inaugurated at Rayat College of Law Railmajra, with the central theme “Viksit Bharat and Drug-Free Society.” The inaugural day witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, faculty members, and dignitaries, marking a strong beginning to the week-long programme dedicated to nation-building and social awareness.

The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge, service, and social responsibility. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed, setting a solemn and inspiring tone for the camp.

Principal Dr. Monika Sharma delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in realizing the vision of a Viksit Bharat through discipline, service, and ethical conduct.

The inaugural session was further enriched by the address of the Chief Guest, Prof. Satpal Singh, who elaborated on the significance of NSS in shaping socially conscious citizens. He underlined that a developed India cannot be achieved without eradicating social evils like drug addiction and called upon students to spread awareness and lead by example in their communities.

Dr Sohnu Saini coordinator presented an overview of the previous year’s NSS activities , showcasing the unit’s contributions in areas such as community service, environmental protection, and social outreach.A poster making competition on ‘ Say no to drugs ‘was  also conducted.

Dr. Sohnu, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, volunteers, and organizers.

a Tree Plantation Drive was organized within the campus premises to make campus environment green , NSS volunteers actively participated in an anti-drug awareness rally, carrying placards and raising slogans promoting the message “Say No to Drugs.” The rally aimed to sensitize the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy, addiction-free life.

Additionally, a donation drive under “Project Sakhi 2.0” was organized, encouraging students and staff to contribute essential items for social welfare. The initiative reflected the spirit of empathy and collective responsibility promoted by the NSS.
