SGGS World University Chancellor releases its Prospectus

Bibi Jagir Kaur, President SGPC and Chancellor of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, today released the University Prospectus for academic session 2021-22. Bibi ji appreciated that due to the diligent efforts and dedication of the staff and administration, the University has made its mark in the field of quality education and research, and has emerged as a premier institution of higher learning in North India. She expressed her delight over the efforts of the University in promoting value based quality education and research. During the release, Er. Sukhminder Singh, Dr. Sukhbir Singh and Surjeet Singh Ablowal were also present.

Dr. Prit Pal Singh, the Vice Chancellor of the University expressed his gratitude to Bibi Jagir Kaur for her support and patronage as the Chancellor of the University. He also congratulated her for her recent achievement in the World Book of Records; he assured that the University will always remain committed to follow her footsteps in the service of mankind. Dr. Singh said that the University abides by the legacy of the SGPC (its parent body) and the inspiring leadership of the Chancellor – Bibi Jagir Kaur. He added that diligent and honest efforts, discipline and hard work have been a way of life at the University.

Dr. S.S Billing, Dean Academic Affairs informed that in order to promote academic excellence, the academic structure of the University has been divided into Faculty system like the Faculty of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies, Agriculture, Basic and Applied Sciences, Commerce and Management, Education and Information Science, Engineering and Technology, Languages, Law, Performing Arts, Medical Sciences and Social Sciences. The University students are provided with the state-of-the-art technological infrastructure by the way of well-equipped labs. In order to make education accessible for every student, the University offers scholarships worth crores under the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Scholarship Scheme, and various state and central government scholarship schemes.
