SGPC president Dhami “pickpocketed” during Parkash Singh Badal’s funeral procession

Paying last tribute to former chief minister of Punjab seems to have proved costly to Shiromani gurudwara prabandhak committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami as has lost his wallet having documents, cash and other valuable items.
As per available information, some miscreants has pickpocketed SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami, who was waiting at Bahadurgarh, on Patiala-Rajpura road along with other local leaders to pay their last tribute to former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal . As per plan, the funeral procession had to cross Bahadurgarh in the afternoon. The leaders, SGPC members along with its president were waiting for the funeral procession when the pickpocketer did his act.
As per unconfirmed reports, Dhami is carrying some US dollars, Indian currency in his wallet. Some other documents, cards are also in the wallet when he was pickpocketed.
When contacted the SHO Sadar, Patiala he said “ no formal complaint has been lodged by Shiromani gurudwara prabandhak committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami or any employee of the SGPC. We had a talk with the manager of the Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib and he will file the complaint along with the lost documents, valuable details by tomorrow morning. But, we are already working and trying to solve the issue at the earliest.”
When contacted Jarnail Singh, manager Gurudwara Dukhniwarn Sahib, Patiala he said “we are unable to contact our president as he is with the funeral procession of former chief minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal. We will again try to contact him late evening or early morning to know the exact details of the valuable lost. After that we will file the formal complaint with the police. ”
As per sources, the Patiala police have already arrested a pickpocketer and are interrogating him.
